About Breathwork

Breath is life, and how you breathe has a profound influence on the quality of your life.

Breathwork is an exploration of you. Your life is made up of many experiences which have shaped who you are. Your nervous system is influenced by these experiences and your body remembers and stores all of this information. Breath is the way in to the body. Breathwork helps to unravel the past, releasing held emotions, and bringing new insights.

Breathwork releases accumulated tensions, helps you to understand and unblock stuck patterns, allowing emotional freedom and uncovering of deeper layers of awareness and clarity. It brings about deep relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.

During a breathwork session you will be guided in a specific breathing pattern. It can be described as an active meditation which allows the mind to let go and the body to release and unwind. The rhythmic breath naturally results in an experience of relaxation, renewal and bliss.

Introspective Breathwork
Introspective breathwork provides a safe and supportive way of exploring and processing life experiences. Conscious breathing and connecting to sensations in the body allow what arises to be fully processed and integrated. This type of breathwork may be used in one-to-one sessions.

Conscious Connected Breathwork
Conscious connected breathwork is a breathing technique in which the breather intentionally connects the inhale with the exhale without any pauses. Breathing is usually through the mouth. It increases oxygen through the body and brings about an altered state of awareness.
