Discover Breathwork



Join me every Thursday from 7:30-8:30pm for a transformative experience through breathwork and guided meditation designed to help you reconnect with your body, experience greater awareness, calm your mind and recharge your body.

 

What is Breathwork?

 

Breathwork is a powerful practice that involves conscious breathing techniques to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Through focused breathing, we can influence the nervous system, regulate our emotional state, and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness.

When used introspectively breathwork becomes a tool for embodiment and self-knowing. During these classes you will learn how to influence your breath and also learn to let go and let the breath breathe you.

 

The Benefits of Breathwork

 

1. Connection with your body

 Living in our heads is common these days. We tend to lose touch with our bodies and become disconnected from ourselves. Your breath brings you into your body and opens up the inner world of experience. It is a tool for self-awareness and helps us to experience life through the grounded space of the body.

 

2. Nervous System Regulation

Through breathwork, you learn to regulate your breath in ways that influence your nervous system. In these classes you will learn about your nervous system and get to know what the nervous system states feel like. You will learn how to use your breath to support regulation. This teaches your body how to respond with more resiliency in your everyday life.

 

3. Experience Greater Awareness and Clarity

Conscious breathing allows you to access deeper layers of your being. It opens the door to self-awareness, helping you gain insights and clarity on issues or patterns that may have been clouding your thinking. As your breath deepens, so does your connection to the present moment, creating a clearer, more focused mind.

 

4. Release Emotional Blockages and Recharge

Breathwork offers a safe space to release stored emotional blockages, whether they stem from stress, trauma, or negative thought patterns. By consciously guiding your breath, you can move through these blockages and integrate past experiences. As a result, you’ll feel less fragmented and more whole.

 

5. Cultivate Inner Peace

Many people find that breathwork, combined with guided meditation, offers a profound sense of inner peace. Sleep, digestion and overall wellbeing benefit. It’s a beautiful opportunity to step out of the busy pace of life and create space for calm and quiet within.

 

What to Expect:

Each breathwork class is designed with a specific theme or focus to provide you with a deeply restorative experience. I weave in Eastern medicine wisdom and seasonal themes to my classes. You will learn different breathwork techniques and be guided throughout the class.

 

These classes are designed for all levels and offer a welcoming space to reconnect with yourself. They take place every Thursday from 7:30-8:30pm. This hour is dedicated to helping you connect with your body, release tension and experience deep peace within. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, personal growth, or simply a moment to breathe, these breathwork and meditation sessions offer the perfect opportunity to reset and recharge.

 

Where: Grow Yoga Studio, Harte’s Courtyard, Clonakilty 

When: Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm 

What to Bring: Comfortable and warm clothing, you will be lying down for much of the class. Yoga mats, blankets and bolsters are provided. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and an extra blanket if you wish.

Drop-in Class: €15
